Hope for the next generation!
August 24, 2012

Many people like me, over 50 years old, talk about the next generation and question their work ethic and principles.  I have found the young apprentices that we hire to be among the finest generations of Americans.  Perhaps it is because they have grown up during wartime, seen their country attacked, seen their parents struggle economically, and are having a tough time finding work themselves.

This summer our team had the privilege of working with a 19 year old young man named D. Christopher Annis.  Chris is a sophomore at Roger Williams College in Rhode Island. He worked for us as a helper part of last summer. This summer, however, he worked full time and did a great job.  Chris worked on plumbing jobs, installations of oil and gas boilers, installations of Fujitsu Ductless Air Conditioning/Heating units, and oil tank upgrades and he learned basic computer business skills. Chris has also worked as our fuel depot attendant. He has achieved the highest certification as a Department of Environmental Protection Underground Storage Tank  A/B operator. This certification allows Chris to run the fuel terminal with full knowledge of the safety and emergency procedures.

Congratulations Chris!  We look forward to you rejoining our team, hopefully, in the near future.
