A Salute to a Soldier
June 28, 2012

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, we thought we would take the time to recognize one of our associate’s son, who is currently training in the U.S. Army. Our technician, Emerson James Corliss’ son, James Emerson Corliss enlisted in the U.S. Army October 2012. James is currently training to be a combat engineer at Fort Erwin. His main duty is to locate enemy IEDs and remove them in order to create a safe passage for U.S. troops. James is currently in training and recently told his dad he is enjoying the “cool weather in Death Valley”! James has clearly inherited his father’s sarcasm.

Emerson keeps us all up to date with his son’s many accomplishments including qualifying for hand grenades and receiving a medal in sharp shooting. His most recent accomplishment was getting his license to drive a HumVee and other military vehicles. All this and he is only 18 years old!

We are all very proud of James and his accomplishments and wish him the best of luck in his future assignments.
