Prepare Your Home

  • During colder months, turn the heat up the night before and arrange for space heaters if necessary during the installation
  • Protect floors and carpets
  • Hang plastic and cover surrounding furniture to protect from dust/soot that may be generated during the removal of your old system
  • Discuss the upcoming installation with the entire family and keep children and pets out of the immediate work area
  • Park cars where they will not interfere with the installation, allowing the installers access to your driveway and access into your house
  • Remove doors and protect door jams if necessary
  • Access to radiators, convectors, and thermostats are also required, please remove any furniture that may be in the way
  • Protect lawn and patio furniture

When the Job is Complete

  • Walk through the completed project with the installer and review the installation – ask questions
  • Make sure that we left the area clean and neat
